Aliza Amar - "Free to Be Me" from Amplify Voices "Triumph Over Trafficking and Sexual Abuse"

Aliza was born in Israel and moved to the United States in 1985. She is the founder of the nonprofit Breaking the Silence Together, affecting change and bringing awareness to violence against women globally. Aliza recently completed the Restorative Justice Certificate Program from University of San Diego and has been accepted into a leadership program. She is passionate about making a difference in the lives of incarcerated women, specifically those who have been trafficked.   Aliza shares how she broke free of the rules of what a "women should be" and discovered the freedom of releasing the judgement from others to live a fully expressed life. 

Amanda Schneider - "Share Your Truth" from Amplify Voices' "Triumph Over Trafficking and Sexual Abuse"

Amanda is now the Executive Director for Amplify Voices.  Amanda's story highlights the transformative healing and connection that comes from speaking your truth to give others permission to do the same.  

Keelin Washington - "What If?" from Amplify Voices' "Triumph Over Trafficking and Sexual Abuse"

Keelin is currently completing her Social Work and Psychology dual-degree program while working in and with multiple anti-human trafficking programs and has dedicated her life to bringing awareness and recovery to the community and survivors she serves.  Keelin's powerful story shows the resilience and tenacity of trafficking survivors and the incredible life they can create for themselves after coming through this trauma. 

Misty Olsen - "I Am Good" from Amplify Voices' "Triumph Over Trafficking and Sexual Abuse"

Misty is an artist by trade and currently enjoys writing and illustrating children's books. She also teaches art and enjoys creating 3-dimensional book art, customized to the story. This was her first time speaking publicly about her experiences. She never expected that so much freedom and connection would come from sharing the things she was most afraid of. Misty believes that life is a journey meant to be enjoyed. She is excited for where life will take her next as she integrates her new desire to speak out and help others to do the same.    Misty shares how she rediscovered she was "good" and how igniting just one other light has the capacity to change the world. 

Nikki Valencia - "Yuck & Yum" from "Triumph Over Trafficking and Sexual Abuse"

Nikki is a singer/songwriter, telecommunications specialist, and entrepreneur who founded Joan of Heart Enterprises, Breathing Light and Life into Dispirited Hearts. Having experienced a life of trauma, Nikki was led to a life of addictions and denial of her body. Her recovery allowed her to reconnect with her body, sense its innate intuition, and discover her desire to be of service to humanity. Traveling the country with her wife for 2 years gave her an opportunity to experience Infinite Love through meeting, sharing, giving and receiving love and kindness. Through these experiences Nikki found her voice and created 90 Days to the Heart of the Matter, a program that people of all walks can relate to and grow from as well as learn to trust their own innate intuition. Shari Scott - "Get Curious" from Amplify Voices' "Triumph Over Trafficking and Sexual Abuse"

Shari is the co-founder of Shuniya Foundation, an anti-sex trafficking organization creating safe and empowering environments for survivors. Shari spent 20 years developing leaders and inspiring people to make a difference, no matter how small. She is also a contributing author to the book, "From Us for You - Inspiring Stories of Healing, Growth and Transformation.   Shari shares her triumphant success of breaking down the protective walls she built to survive her childhood experiences living in a family involved in trafficking.  

Susan Munsey - "It Could Be You" from "Triumph Over Trafficking and Sexual Abuse"

Susan was recently named a Top Ten CNN Hero, is the Director of Programs and founder of GenerateHope, a comprehensive and uniquely designed long-term recovery program for young women who have been sex trafficked. At GenerateHope, Susan leads a team of dedicated professionals and volunteers in the work of rehabilitating survivors via housing, education, psychotherapy, and adjunct therapies. Susan co-chairs the San Diego Regional Human Trafficking/Commerical Sexual Exploitation of Children Advisory Council and the Victim Services Subcommittee. She is also involved in many other trafficking related groups, activites and education in San Diego. Susan has a master's degree in social work from Smith College and is licensed in California as a clinical social worker. She has over 25 yers of clinical experience in the community, in hospital settings and in private practice.
